Hi, Scrapbook & Cards Today friends, it’s Wendy Sue here with you, sharing a few fun ways to show mom how much you love her with a sweet surprise!

Supplies | Patterned paper, solid paper, tags: Carta Bella Paper; Metal dies: Echo Park Paper, Scrapbook.com; Enamel dots: Echo Park Paper; Ribbon, twine, jute: May Arts; Cut files: Simply Sweet, Lori Whitlock; Adhesive: Scrapbook.com, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Silhouette Cameo; Vellum

I created three fun gift packaging ideas using Carta Bella Paper’s “Flora No. 6” collection, some dies, and just a few extras! You could make any (or all) of these gift projects in just a few minutes – and mom will feel extra special knowing they were made especially for her, with love!

To create the square pillow box, I used a cut file I downloaded from the Silhouette design store. I love the unique square shape! I love wrapping a coordinating solid strip around any package to give it a nice, finished look. It also provides a great place to add a decorative tag or bow.

Layering vellum over a busy pattern is an easy way to make the letters pop on a card or tag!

The pocket package was created by gluing two of the pockets that I die-cut using the metal dies from Scrapbook.com. I think these pockets were intended to lay flat on a page or card, but instead of folding the flaps down flat, I folded them straight back and glued two pockets together back to back to create a skinny box—perfect for holding a gift card or a sweet treat!

Adding jute instead of ribbon to the circle piece on the front gives a whole new look!

Every mom loves a fancy purse, so why not give her one for Mother’s Day? Or make one out of paper using a cut file from Lori Whitlock then fill it with something she would never expect! Gift cards, jewelry, or sugary treats are all mom-approved!

I used metal dies to create the large tags. Layering a few tags and adding several ribbons through the holes can take your project to the next level.

Flora No. 6 features three different color combinations and floral design sets: Soft, Groovy, and Wild. I used a different set for each package. Which set best describes your mom? Whichever you decide to use, be sure to give your mom a big hug when you deliver her gift, and bonus points if you hand-write a letter or card that she’ll treasure forever!

Happy Mother’s Day!
