Today we’re welcoming our friend Becki Adams to the blog, who has created a new papercrafting company called Keep it Simple Paper! If you haven’t heard about Keep it Simple yet, you’re sure to be excited about what she’s sharing with us today, and be sure to follow Keep it Simple at the links below for tons of beautiful card and layout inspiration! Let’s take a look at what Becki is sharing with us today!
…………………………………
Hello friends, I’m Becki Adams, and I am so excited to introduce you to a new manufacturer, Keep It Simple. Keep It Simple was founded in 2018 with 4 of my signature collections: Namaste Home, Boys Boys Boys, Celebrate the Little Things and Farmhouse Fall.
The most recent collection from Keep It Simple is Back To Basics. The intent of this collection is to provide the staples that every crafter needs. The selection of colors and patterns will coordinate with just about any project design, occasion and format. These colors will certainly match most of the colors you will find in any of the Keep It Simple collections, and we are sure you will fall in love with the patterns that allow your photos and other elements to make your projects shine.
If you love tone on tone patterns, this collection is for you! There are 7 colors in the first Back To Basics release: Ruby, Mango, Lemon, Jade, Royal, Lilac, and Rose: a beautiful rainbow of colors! Within each Back To Basics paper pack, you’ll find 4 shades of each color creating a beautiful monochromatic look. These colors stand perfectly on their own, and you can see examples of monochromatic layouts over HERE on the Keep It Simple blog!
This layout features all seven of our Back To Basics colors. I created this layout with a heart cut file, tons of Back To Basics patterned paper and lots of enamel dots for a little bit of texture and interest. The enamel dots match the patterned paper hues perfectly!
To the right of the photo is a journaling block. Within each Back To Basics paper pack, you’ll find a 12” x 12” sheet of basic die cuts: journaling blocks, tags, labels and photo corners. I find myself constantly reaching for these die cuts. They’re so easy to use!
Summer has finally arrived and for my family that means snow cones! We make a trip to the snow cone shack a couple of times a week. I wanted to document the arrival of summer with a layout about our snow cone tradition. Of course, I reached for Back To Basics and this Summer cut file.
This collection really does work for every occasion. This time, I chose a lighter, more pastel color palette. I’m obsessed with creating layouts with a rainbow of colors. The adorable flowers are die cuts found within the paper packs. The Lemon enamel dots made the perfect centers for the flowers. These flowers add the perfect finishing touch to this layout.
Do you love alphabet stamps? Of course, the answer is YES! Who doesn’t love a good alphabet stamp? We have two of the most perfect alphabet stamp sets AND they coordinate perfectly together. I used both of them in the title of this layout. The “lunch date” portion of the title is stamped with the Belle Outline alphabet set and the “last” portion of the title is stamped with the Scarlett Script alphabet stamp set. The Scarlett script is my personal favorite! They were designed so that the letters connect perfectly.
