Hello, crafty friends! It is Nathalie here with a fun, cute, and easy idea for your Mother’s Day card. If you are blessed to celebrate a mom or mom figure in your life, then I am sure you are always looking for that special card. So, how about creating one in a jiff with a few Altenew products?

Supplies | Altenew; Specialty cardstockembossing folder, stamp set, alphabet dies Ink: Scrapbook.com; Stitched circle dies: Hero Arts; Die cutting machine: Spellbinders; Gems: Taylored Expressions; Cardstock: Hammermill

Let me walk you through building this card in minutes! First, I used a stitched circle metal die from Hero Arts to cut a 3.5-inch circle from colored cardstock and a circle metal die from We R Makers to cut a circle from shimmer cardstock. I made sure that the shimmer cardstock circle was a bit larger so that it framed the colored cardstock.

Using Altenew’s Delicate Garden Craft Your Life Project Kit embossing folder, I added a bit of texture to the colored cardstock circle. To enhance the texture and dimension of the embossed image, I rubbed white pigment ink from Scrapbook.com to the embossed image on the colored cardstock. Once the ink dries (you can speed the drying time with the help of a heat gun), I attached the embossed circle to the shimmering white cardstock.

I attached the circles, with a bit of dimensional adhesive to a 4 x 5.25-inch white card panel, and glued the panel to an A2-sized white card base.

I die cut the word, “Mom”, from Brushed Rose Gold Metallic cardstock using the Fine Alphabet die set. I stacked and glued together each letter (this adds dimension to the die cut) and set it on the front of the embossed image. I reached for the Craft Your Life Project Kit and the Delicate Garden stamp set to add a small sentiment to the card, right above the die cut word.

To finish the card, I added a few white shimmering gems from Taylored Expressions around the circle image, and now it  is ready to be presented to my mami.

I hope this inspires you to create your own Mother’s Day card! All you need is a few minutes, a die cutting machine, and Altenew! We cannot wait to see what you create!

Happy Mother’s Day!
