Happy Friday, friends! A BIG weekend is underway to celebrate International Scrapbook Day, and we couldn’t think of a better guest to start the party with us than our friends from Close to My Heart. They always have a collection for just the right occasion, and what they have to share with us today is no exception! Let’s take a look!

Hello, it’s Jill from Close To My Heart. International Scrapbooking Day is our favorite holiday and we like to prolong the celebration for the entire month of May with a special collection designed specifically to celebrate WHY we scrapbook. So, let’s take a look at WHAT the collection contains:
The Hope & Kindness collection includes beautiful patterned papers, stickers, stamps, metal die-cuts, and a Kraft die cut sheet. Because Hope & Kindness was designed around inspirational phrases and reminders like, “keep on growing”, “hope”, “compassion”, “patience”, and “you are amazing”, it can evoke the significant stories you want do document. The collection is also perfect for creating cards that share the meaningful sentiments to tell the recipient what matters most.
No matter your preferred crafting approach, Hope & Kindness is a work of art on its own. We love seeing the creative uses for the collection from traditional scrapbooking and cardmaking to home décor and scripture journals. You can do so much with these prints and patterns. However, if you like the artwork in these images, you can easily create exactly what you see here on the blog. We have designed three workshops for scrapbooking, cardmaking, and a mini-album. Each of them is available in a bundle of all the products needed to create the finished artwork.
And, to help spread the joy we all feel when crafting, we are hosting a 3-day virtual crafting event on July 6–8! During each day of our celebration, we will be creating these workshops from start to finish and you can create right along with us. As part of the event, we’ll have exciting giveaways! These are gorgeous papers and collection. I make a lot of cards. I spend a lot of time stamping and coloring, but love a good set to work with.

My favorite paper crafting is when I am making memories with photos and paraphernalia from trips that we take. I try to be creative with each page using different techniques and using all my scrap-booking utensils ( glitter, stencils, stamps, cutting machine,etc.)

I love preserving my memories with pictures. I am not great at journaling, but scrapbooking forces me to combine pictures and words and I get to make it beautiful!
What a smashing collection! Love the patterned paper and color combinations!!! I love scrapbooking memories of my children, as well as, my ancestors! It feels good to document the lives of the people in my life right now, as well as family members…some of whom I never met, but I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them!!

Not only do I paper craft because it’s fun, creative and relaxing, but I enjoy the gift of giving. I love putting a year’s worth of memories in an album for my sons to enjoy for many years to come. I also love to put my heart into every card I make for someone.
What I love most about paper crafting is the tactile feeling of the different cards stocks, die cuts, embellishments, etc. I spend my entire workday in front of a computer so it is very therapeutic to sit down with gorgeous supplies and make something worthy of the precious memories I’m recording through my scrapbooking.
Scrapbooking takes me away from the world and into an inner place of peace and calm. So needed these days.
I love the joy my paper crafting brings to others who receive a card, gift or scrapbook album, or who create with me. Not to mention the joy I experience in creating.
What a fantastic collection! I love making cards because I know that the recipients smile when they receive them. I love scrapbooking because it’s a fun way to save treasured memories.
I love making cards. I love the process of trying to find the right design when crafting with patterned paper. I might have an idea in mind so I will cut and lay out the card design. I may change my design several times. Sometimes I may leave the room and come back and move something on the card. And then there are those times when you get it right and you look at it and say…yes, this is it. And then I start with the adhesive!
It’s such an amazing way to de-stress and spend time with my amazing crafty friends!
