Hello friends! It’s Victoria and I am so excited to share an 8.5 x 11 scrapbook layout featuring the SCT January 2021 Sampler!  

This curated package of elements is perfect for a variety of projects from scrapbook layouts, pocket pages, and cards. This was my first opportunity to work with an SCT Sampler and I knew right away that I wanted to use it to create this fun scrapbook page!

The January Sampler includes patterned paper, a sticker sheet, a cute mini stamp set, wood veneer, and acetate heart shapes. There are enough products in this package to complete one full project or several smaller projects, such as pocket pages or cards. After using the Sampler to create an 8.5” x 11” layout, I had plenty of leftover product that I plan to use on other projects!

For my project, I created a background using two 6” x 8” patterned papers from the Simple Stories Hello Today Collection. My 3.5” x 5.5” photos were mounted on a piece of red and white swiss dot pattern paper from the same collection. 

Next, I created layered clusters using embellishments and the Simple Stories Hello Today sticker sheet. On the left side of the page, I used one of the die cuts, “Capture Life” as the title for this project. I love finding ways to extend the use of the elements I place on a scrapbook page. To round out the cluster on the left, I added enamel dots by Simple Stories, a wood veneer and plastic heart by Kingston Crafts, and a phrase sticker that says, “every.day”.

I created another cluster of embellishment on the right side of the photo using more of the same elements from Simple Stories and Kingston Crafts. Anchoring layered clusters using coordinating items on both sides of the photo adds a lot of interest and balance to the overall composition of the layout. 

Lastly, I created two border strips using a border punch from my stash to finish the layout. This is a great example of how you can use your existing supplies and tools along with the products found in the Sampler!
