Hi friends, it’s Mari Clarke here with another project for Sampler Saturday! Today I am working with the fun February SCT Sampler to create two scrapbook layouts and an A2-sized card.

On my 12” x 12” layout, I used two adorable 4” x 3” Valentine’s-themed photos and the Photo Play Paper Love Letters collection included in this month’s SCT Sampler! I cut the JustNick Basic Heart Background cut file from white cardstock, backed some of the hearts with the patterned paper, then added that to some Bazzill Avalanche cardstock. Next, I added machine stitching around the outer edge of the white cardstock mat, then framed it with Bazzill red cardstock for another pop of colour. I then adhered the cut file to the white cardstock with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam adhesive. Love the dimension that adds!

Adding black mats to the two photos made them “pop” on top of the cut file! I finished the layout with embellishments from the Love Letters collection and from the Close to My Heart Every Little Thing Complements as well as one of the exclusive acrylic hearts!

But I could not stop there! I created an 8.5 x 11 layout as well, however, this layout is made almost entirely with the Pinkfresh Studio Let’s Stay Home collection. My base for the layout was created with a piece of Neenah smooth white cardstock, to which I added an 8” x 6” white mat.  I machine-stitched around the edge of this piece for texture, and also added detail with the awesome heart stencil included in the Sampler and PInkfresh Studio Sky Blue ink. I added a 6” x 6” paper with foam adhesive to the 8” x 6” mat.  My two photos, printed at 2.5” x 2.5”, were popped up with foam adhesive onto the striped blue patterned paper mats. I added the embellishments from the collection as well as the exclusive acrylic “today” word to create my title.

My A2 card started with a Neenah card base. I created a card front with white cardstock cut to 3.75” x 5” and ran it through a Swiss dot embossing folder to add texture before adhering it to the card base. I machine-stitched around the bird Photo Play die cut piece and added that to the card. I added Gina K Cherry Red ink to a piece of white cardstock using the heart stencil for pattern before cutting it with a scallop circle die from my stash. I popped that up with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam adhesive and added it to the center of the card.  I finished by adding my sentiment and black die cut hearts from the Every Little Thing Complements sheet, which coordinated perfectly!

In my video below, you will see how I created these three projects, and what I received in this month’s Sampler! I hope you enjoy creating with yours as much as I did!
