Scrapbook & Cards Today Spring 2018 Issue

Now let’s celebrate! For the next 12 days, our team will be joining us each day to share a birthday themed project and all our partners will be here throughout these 12 days with some INCREDIBLE prizes. So put your party hats and dancing shoes on and let’s kick off Day 1 with design team member Latisha Yoast and her gorgeous birthday party ensemble!

“Hello friends, I am so excited to share these birthday projects with you today!  Most of us celebrate some kind of birthday, whether it’s your own, a child’s, friend or family.  Today, I am sharing how to use basic craft supplies, and turning them into a coordinated birthday ensemble.

A few banner stamps, a cake and sentiment stamp from Pinkfresh Studio, and friends we have ourselves an invitation.  These are clear photopolymer stamps, which are made to take ink perfectly.  Not going to lie, I used a MISTI to stamp the cake, I needed precise stamping, and the MISTI makes it so simple. I used a few shades of aqua and red inks from Lawn Fawn.  Aqua and red go so pretty together, plus they coordinated with the pattern paper I chose to use as well.

Presents!  What is a birthday without presents?

This pattern Paper Collection from Pebbles, it makes my heart pitter patter with happiness.  Plus its a birthday theme.  Sigh…so happy!

I picked out a few sheets of pattern paper, and used the We R Memory Keepers bag punch tool, to create a few bags.  I happen to buy the punch with a coupon, but after using it, I would have paid full price.

I can make all of the bags now!

Using the coordinating stickers and ribbon, embellishing the bags was a breeze.

Lastly, the birthday card.  First, using the We R Envelope punch, I created an envelope for the card.  The pattern paper said happy birthday in the shape of a candle which I thought was so cute.  Then created the card using the 6×6 striped pattern paper that coordinated with the envelope.  The card was embellished using stickers.

Friends, creating a birthday ensemble is so much fun, especially when using a paper collection.  Everything is perfectly coordinated, so no matter the design, the colors all match. The stamps make the card and projects more custom and make everyone feel special.  I hope I have given you a little bit of inspiration and a little nudge to create your own cards and gift bags!

Materials Used: Pinkfresh Studio stamps; Pebbles Pattern paper, stickers & 6×6 paper; Lawn Fawn Ink; We R Memories Keepers Bag & Envelope punches; white cardstock, red ribbon, blue ribbon, red gingham ribbon, MISTI tool

Happy birthday, SCT!
