Take a look at what I created:

Supplies | Carta Bella Welcome Winter collection: 12×12 patterned paper, chipboard phrases, ephemera, adhesive brads; SCT Magazine: “Snow Much Fun” cut file by Paige Evans

I cut the Snow Much Fun design using textured white cardstock using my electronic cutting machine. Next, I used a variety of patterned papers from the Welcome Winter Collection by Carta Bella to back the open spaces of each letter. This process takes a bit of time, but the finished product is worth it!

After backing each letter with pattern paper, I adhered foam adhesive to the back of the cut file for added dimension and interest. Next, I positioned two 3 x 3-inch photos to the top right and the bottom left of the cut file. The position of the photos draws the eye to the cut file and the supporting elements.

Once the photos were positioned, I added small clusters of embellishments from the Welcome Winter Collection. I kept the embellishment clusters small to not take away from the cut file design. The patterned paper is doing most of the heavy lifting while the small embellishment clusters round out the composition.

Next, to the top of the cut file, I added the chipboard phrase Winter as well as a glitter snowflake to the inside of the “O” as shown. Lastly, I added journaling strips to the bottom of the page to complete this project.
