Hi, everyone! It’s Mindy and so excited to be back on the SCT Magazine blog to share some inspiration with you using the April SCT Sampler! I’ll admit, this is my first time using the SCT Sampler and my first impression is… WOW! I normally don’t use patterned paper on my cards but I absolutely fell in love with the Pebbles Inc. and Photoplay Paper patterns in this month’s SCT Sampler.

SCT Sampler - April 2020

The floral designs are gorgeous and those gnomes make me smile from ear to ear.

I challenged myself to only use what I had in the SCT Sampler, but you can definitely use any additional products that you have on hand which would really extend the number of cards you could make!

I’m kicking it off with these gnomes. For my first card, I fussy cut out the gnome from one of the papers so I could pop him up with foam squares to add a little dimension.

Included in the SCT Sampler is a sheet of sentiment sticker labels. I adhered them to white cardstock and trimmed out so there was a little more stability to them. I used them a lot throughout my cards. Seriously how cute is this gnome?

The patterned papers in the SCT Sampler are also double-sided, giving you lots of options to choose from.

My next card couldn’t get any easier. I just trimmed down pattern paper and adhered to a card front!

Still madly in love with the gnome paper from Photoplay Paper, I used this sheet for my whole background! Once again, I used the sentiment stickers for my card.

Also included in the SCT Sampler were bits of ephemera, which are great for using as focal points on your card. I used one of the pieces on a white card front for a very clean and simple look.

My last card to share uses some of the gorgeous floral patterns in the Sampler from Pebbles! I couldn’t bring myself to cut the paper a lot, so I just trimmed it down to use as a background. I added a gold puffy word sticker to the front to finish it off.

Look at the dimension and shine!
