Good morning! Nicole here with another free cut file! Today’s cut file is a fun, whimsical background I enjoyed designing. It’s perfect to add a simple layer or even a pop of colour to your background.

I thought this had a fun masculine vibe to it, so I used it to create this project:
Supplies: Patterned Paper: Shimelle; Cardstock: American Crafts; Letter stickers: Basic Grey, Shimelle, Vicki Boutin; Clip: Vicki Boutin; Ink: Tattered Angels
I simply diecut the background from white textured cardstock and trimmed it down smaller. I backed some – but not all – the empty pieces of the diecut design with bright and vibrant patterned paper and adhered the whole thing to my background.
I really love the bold pops of colour on the kraft cardstock and the kraft just blends so well with the primary colours.
Next, I added a multi-colour title, a few punched circles and a few black stickers to ground out all that colour in the project.
I hope you this free cut file which you can download HERE. Be sure to also download the many other free cut files from the Scrapbook & Cards Today website.
See you next month with another fun FREE cut file!

This is a great layout! Thanks for sharing this fun cut file. :)
Love this layout! Do you hand cut the patterned cardstock that backs the design? Or is there a way to do this in Cricut Design Space?
Hi Vencine. I use the scraps from the background once it is cut to lay over the patterned paper to back the design. There is a way to do this in your digital software, but it is several steps and requires more of a visual tutorial that would differ dependent on which machine you are using.
Another fabulous layout Nicole! Thank you for the cut file.
Awesome layout! Thanks for the freebie!
Another fun die cut and a beautiful layout to showcase it!! Thanks so much Nicole!!
Is there a video tutorial anywhere that shows how to get a free cut file into my Silhouette Studio library? I’ve never been able to import them.
Thank you!!
There sure is Rhonda! Below is a link to a video tutorial Nicole has created showing you just how to do that!
