Good morning SCT friends! Sheri Reguly here today with a mini album to share with you. It seems as though I haven’t created a mini album in ages, now I’ve completed two within just a few short months. If you’ve missed my first one, you could find it on pages 60-61 of the spring issue in the “Make It Mini” feature.
The mini that I’m sharing with you today, consists of random bits of advice for my daughter as she’s approaching the, sometimes difficult, “tween/early teen years.”
The starting point for my mini was this gorgeous sheet of patterned paper from Pink Paislee’s “Turn The Page” collection. BOTH sides were just perfect for what I had in mind.
I selected a few of my favourite 3”x4” blocks, and expanded on the sentiments with some of my own personal words of wisdom. The “B side”
of this patterned paper is the perfect shade of light pink with a very subtle pattern…perfect for adding photos and embellishments.
Supplies: CARDSTOCK: Bazzill Basics; PATTERNED PAPER: Pink Paislee, Crate Paper: HEART CHARM: Pink Paislee; STICKERS/CHIPBOARD ACCENTS: Crate Paper; WOODEN BUTTON/GOLD RIMMED BUTTON: American Crafts: ENAMEL
DOTS/HEARTS: Simple Stories, My Mind’s Eye, American Crafts; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
I went with a very simple design for my album. I rounded all the corners to add a fun touch and went with a single binder-type ring in the top left corner. I incorporated a selection of text, stickers, and embellishments to both the pages as well as to my photos. From start to finish, this design (with the help of the Pink Pailsee Blocked Patterned Paper) was completed in just a couple of short hours.
Thank you so much for joining me. Wishing you all a wonderful day!
Such a wonderful mini album.. thanks for sharing..

beautiful work Sheri and so very special!
I absolutely love this Sheri! It’s a lovely keepsake for your daughter. I admit that I struggle with ideas on how to use those journaling card patterned papers that come in my collection kits as I don’t do any type of pocket page layouts. Using them to create a mini-album is brilliant. Thanks for the inspiration.
Absolutely LOVE this little book of BIG encouragement by Sheri <3
You are extremely talented Sheri and I love looking at your work. Such an awesome memory book for your daughter and maybe someday in the future she can pass this wisdom onto her own family. I don’t know diddly about scrapbooking but i sure do love it. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more of your awesome work. :) <3
Simply sweet – every page!
