Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! It’s Virginia here to share with you a celebration page created with Echo Park’s Monster Mash collection! Yes, you can use something very theme-specific (in this case, Halloween) for a Thanksgiving page!

Supplies | Echo Park Monster Mash: patterned papers, ephemera, stencil; Scrapbook.com: Slimline strip strip dies

I love the ‘B’ sides of this collection and thought it would be fun to create a basket weave backdrop using Scrapbook.com’s thin strip dies. This is a great technique to show all the fabulous patterns in a paper collection while adding great texture to your page base.

I split the basket weave pattern into two pieces and placed them on the left and right edges of the page base to draw your eye toward the photo in the centre. I added bubble stencilling and popped up some star accents.

I hope this inspires you to grab items from your stash (no matter the theme) that you love and just create!

Have a beautiful Canadian Thanksgiving Day!
