…………………….

Hey friends! It’s Erica here with you today to share a challenge for International Scrapbook Day! We are so excited to celebrate this special day with challenges and great prizes! My challenge for you is to use a cut file on your project and Scrapbook & Cards Today just happens to have a library full of free cut files for all occasions!

I used the bright and colorful You Are My Sunshine collection from Bella Blvd to create this page. To start, I looked through the Scrapbook & Cards Today library of free cut files and found one that was perfect with this collection, the Sunshine & Rainbows cut file. I cut the file out using my Silhouette Cameo 4 on Lily White textured cardstock from Doodlebug Design.

Once my cut file was backed, I used foam tape from Therm-O-Web all over the back of the cut file. This gave the cut file dimension on the layout. I placed the cut file towards the left of my layout so I had room to place my photo on the right. My layout base is a piece of white cardstock trimmed down and matted onto the 12 x 12 inch Ray of Sunshine patterned paper.

I used a few different pattern papers from the You Are My Sunshine collection to mat my photo and adhered this to the layout. This collection is full of wonderful embellishments and I dug into the ephemera, puffy stickers and chipboard to add clusters around my page. It is fun to add differently textured embellishments to the layout to create interest.

To help create a visual triangle around the page I added in repeating elements like the clouds and bees. To finish off my page I added typed journaling and word stickers under my photo! I love how bright and summery this layout turned out!

We can not wait to see what you create for this challenge! Cut files are so much fun to use and a great way to get your page going!
