Howdy everyone!  I’m back….  :-)

It’s Layle Koncar – think ‘Gayle’, with an ‘L’ – Director of Marketing for Simple Stories/Carpe Diem.  I’m excited to be back with you again this month, sharing more from my Carpe Diem Traveler’s Notebook, or TN.

In preparation for next month in my Traveler’s Notebook I went with the happy go lucky look & feel of the Good Vibes collection.  I just love the bright colors, florals & fun geometric patterns; it puts me in a good mood every time I open my TN!

If you’re not familiar with a Traveler’s Notebook, In a nutshell, it’s a leather or faux leather cover with elastic bands to hold inserts/notebooks inside & an elastic band to hold it closed.  Interested in learning more about them?  Catch this Intro to Traveler’s Notebooks Facebook Live video I recorded!

I love to create slipcovers for my different inserts that match the theme I’m using in my TN for the month.  I slipcover them vs. creating directly on the insert cover so that I can easily swap out the slipcover when I’m ready to move to the next month, that way I’m not married to the design on the cover!

Even though my inserts look like they’re all coordinating, once you open them up, it all changes!  One of my favorite things about using a TN is that I can incorporate different looks, designs & themes in each insert within my TN, completely different from the look when you first open it up.  Because I wasn’t quite ready yet to transition out of a summer feel, I used a number of the June Free Printables inside my inserts.  If you missed the June free printables, you can snag those & download for free HERE!

I printed out the dated June calendar from the Free Printables and adhered directly to the pages in my insert & then got to work decorating with washi & stickers from the Seasons Sticker Tablet.  Incidentally, the free printables each month are designed to coordinate with the Seasons Sticker Tablet – a match made in heaven!

I printed out the bookmark from the A5 Free Printable & made a ‘tip in’ bookmark with washi so I would have a marker for the monthly calendar & know just right where to turn.

It was super easy to do using the Tabs Sticker Tablet and the Clear Tab Stickers.

I adhered the June tab sticker over the tab on the bookmark and then adhered a clear tab sticker to give it extra reinforcement.

I adhered the other bookmark in the free printables to the back.  The Tabs Sticker Tablet includes a few sheets of hole reinforcers; I used the centers – kinda like donut holes! – as bullets for the major things happening for the month.

So there you have it – a custom spring themed TN for my lists this month.  You’ll find me on Instagram here at @laylekoncar; keep an eye out on Instagram for more of my planner & traveler’s notebook adventures!
