Welcome to the start of a new week, full of creative possibilities! Mother’s Day is less than a week away, so our team is focusing on mom, and all mother figures in their creations this week! We hope that the beautiful projects they share inspire you to create something for your mother or mother-figure, or document your love for them! We’re kicking things off with Latisha Yoast, who has a beautiful inspiration board to share, and three cards created with it! Let’s take a look!
Welcome, crafty friends! It’s Latisha here with you today sharing an inspirational color board, taking cues from my flower garden. More specifically, hydrangeas. The featured card shows off a new stamp set from Concord & 9th and their gorgeous new colors, plus two bonus cards! I used the same color palette on all three cards.
Supplies | Cardstock: Concord & 9th; Stamps: Concord & 9th; Ink: Concord & 9th; Dies: Concord & 9th; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Here is the inspiration board that is a starting point for creativity. The photos are from a few hydrangea plants in my yard, and the corresponding colors. I hope you find this as helpful as I did!
Concord & 9th is coming out with a stamp set and coordinating dies called Weekend Market. It is perfect for Mother’s Day, for mom, sister, aunt, grandma, or any special woman in your life!
Using the florals, tag, and bouquet wrapper dies as well as cardstock in the colors close to the inspiration board, the die cutting began. The different stems and flower dies made it so easy to create a beautiful floral bouquet. To create depth, some of the bigger flowers have foam tape on the back.
To begin, I embossed the white panel with the Stitched Vines Card Front Die. Because this is a simple card design, the stitched vines give the white space added interest. I adhered the panel to a light and a dark green cardstock panel. After that, I adhered it to the front of a white card base. Then, I adhered the floral bouquet to the card at a slight angle. I stamped the “mom” sentiment on the green tag in black ink and then adhered to the bouquet.
To spark more inspiration using this color palette, I created two additional cards. The “MOM” card uses the Taylored Expressions Butterflies Stamp and Stencil Combo, and On the Block Mom Die and Shadow, as well as Concord & 9th cardstock and inks.
The “celebrate” card features a floral cake, just for mom, using products from The Greetery, and again, inks and cardstock are from Concord & 9th.
Please share your projects with us on social media if we happen to inspire you! I cannot wait to see what creativity is shared from this inspiration board!

Latisha – the paper piecing for that floral bouquet is the sweetest! I’m really going to have to get this set of dies & get into the fun of this fabulous look. It’s all set up beautifully too with the colour palette. Thanks so much for sharing! ????????????✨
All so pretty Latisha!
I would like to comment on the Merry Wishes Christmas in July Class and Kit. I am very excited and encouraged to start my Christmas projects early in the year and maybe for once get ahead of the “game”.!!!!!!
