Hello, SCT friends! It’s Erica here with you today to share a 12 x 12-inch scrapbook layout that was inspired by this PageMaps sketch in the Scrapbook & Cards Today Fall 2022 issue:

You can find this sketch on page 30 of the Fall 2022 Issue or head on over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website to see all of the inspiring sketches!

I pulled products from a few of my favorite companies to create this layout! I started with some fun fall papers and stickers from Elle’s Studio along with some 12 x 12-inch patterned paper from the Echo Park Spooky collection.

Supplies | Doodlebug Design: cardstock; Elle’s Studio: Thankful paper stack, Halloween die cuts, Tiny Autumn hearts and stars puffy stickers; Bella Blvd Spell on You: cardstock stickers, puffy stickers; Echo Park Paper: 12 x 12-inch patterned paper; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: adhesive

I also grabbed some of the new Bella Blvd Spell on You collection that went perfectly with everything. I started by printing out my photos to 4 x 4-inch and matting them onto some pattern paper from the Elle’s Studio Thankful paper stack.

For my layout base I used a piece of Lily White textured cardstock from Doodlebug Design trimmed it down to 10.5″ square. I matted this onto two different pattern papers from the Echo Park Spooky collection. All three of the collections I pulled from are completely different but include some of the same colors, so it all worked well for my layout. I loved the large paper layers in the sketch, so I did stick to that part of the sketch pretty close. Instead of three photos I went with two larger photos and moved my title between the two photos of Liam Jay.

Liam’s birthday is in October, and he loves Halloween so much, so we went with a Jack Skellington theme again this year! He loves Jack so it was perfect! I added one of the Elle’s Studio journaling tags from my stash to the right of my photos and adhered my typed journaling. I created a small cluster of embellishments in the bottom right corner of the layout using different die cuts and stickers. My layout came together so easy using the PageMaps sketch for inspiration.

To finish off my layout I added some black enamel dots from my stash and some black puffy stickers from Elle’s Studio! We would love to see your take on this sketch or any of the PageMaps sketches you find in the Fall Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today!
