Welcome to the blog today, friends! Today, we have a special guest for our Things We Love Thursday post, Maryam Pérez! We have loved Maryam’s creations for years, and now that she is a product designer, we wanted to find out what she has been loving to create with lately! Let’s find out what three things are currently on her desk!

Hello everyone! This is Maryam Pérez, and I’m so excited to be here at the SCT Magazine blog as a guest! For today’s post, Things We Love Thursday, I’m going to be sharing with you two cards I created combining my current top three favorite crafting products.

Supplies | Altenew: Botanical Wreath Builder Stamp Set, Sweet Bouquet Stamp Set, Crisp Dye Inks, Obsidian Pigment Ink, Stampwheel, Stampwheel – Center Alignment Guides, Adhesive, Sequins, Colorful Wonder Enamel Dots

First up on the list, we have the Botanical Wreath Builder Stamp Set from Altenew, which I had the honor of designing. This stamp set was designed to work together with another favorite product of mine, the new and revolutionary Stampwheel. One of the many amazing features of the Stampwheel is that it allows you to create wreaths out of any stamp you may have in your stash giving you thousands of possibilities, but the special thing about the Botanical Wreath Builder is that all the images are perfectly sized for smaller projects such as cards or mini albums.

For my first card, I combined some of the different types of foliage and flowers included in the stamp and opted for a summery color palette of corals, greens, teals, and a bit of yellow. The Altenew ink colors I used are Pastel Sunrise, Mahogany Bark, Honey Drizzle, Bamboo, Lime, Fresh Leaf, and Volcano Lake.

To tie it all together, I added the “hello friend” sentiment which brings me to my third favorite product, the Sweet Bouquet Stamp Set. When I was designing this stamp set, in addition to having an illustration of a floral bouquet, I also wanted to have versatile sentiments that would work on any card, which is why we included three main sentiments in a lovely vintage serif font, perfect for any occasion.

For the second card I created, I used the same products as before, but this time I selected different images and colors, opting for a springtime look. The Altenew ink colors I used are Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Firefly, and Shadow Creek.

By simply changing colors and combing different flowers or leaves from the Botanical Wreath Builder Stamp Set, you will be able to get totally different looks on your cards. I challenge you to try out some classic color combinations such as red, green, and perhaps a little bit of gold, and you’ll see that even a Christmas-themed card can be made using this stamp with the amazing Stampwheel.

And that, my friends, brings me to the end of today’s post. I encourage you to be creative and explore mixing different colors and shapes. You’ll be surprised at how many different looks you can get out of a couple of products. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful crafty week!
