Fall is a time to enjoy the outdoors with cooler weather, and fun activities! So with less creative time on our hands, pocket pages offer the perfect way to document fall memories quickly and with little hassle! Today for our final day of We Love Fall Week, Jess Forster is here to show us how beautiful an autumn pocket page can be when paired with your memories! Let’s check out her project!

Hi, SCT friends! Jess Forster here and I am shaking my head wondering how we are halfway through September. I love fall, and one of my favourite autumn traditions, besides sweater weather and PSL everything, is spending time at the apple orchard and pumpkin patch. In my pocket page, I decided to tell the story of spending time outside in October 2020, on one of those beautiful warm fall days. Have a look:

I loved the combination of brown, red, and orange in the Echo Park I Love Fall collection. I decided to create a 9 x 12-inch double pocket page layout about my love of spending time outside. There is something magical about warm fall weather, preparing for Canadian Thanksgiving, and picking apples.

I decided to enlarge the photo of my son, Sam, driving the red tractor to 8 x 10″ before backing it with the cardstock from the Echo Park coordinating colour packs. I was inspired by the colours in the 3 x 4 “Fall is Here” element card and used the fall florals stickers in the collection pack to create the title “Autumn” and placed it on the enlarged photo. I love creating lumps and bumps on my pocket page to give it texture.

Next, I cut four 3 x 4-inch cards and placed them in a diamond shape in the pocket page. I used a combination of element cards and traditional paper as backing to create my own journaling card and filler card with the fall sticker with sayings.

Pairing your favourite fall colours, like those you can find in the Echo Park I Love Fall collection, can be a great way to begin to document your fall photos or tell a story about a favourite autumn tradition, like going to the apple orchard. I’m curious, what is your favourite autumn tradition? Wishing you a happy fall! Thanks for reading!
