Hey crafty friends! It is Nathalie with you today for day five of the 12 Days of Holiday Giving event. I am so happy to be part of the celebration and to be sharing something dear to my heart: a traveler’s notebook layout featuring beautiful products from Pinkfresh Studio. Let’s take a look at today’s project.
Supplies | Patterned paper, die cuts, cardstock stickers, puffy stickers: Pinkfresh Studio Happy Holidays collection; Hot foil plate, metal dies, stencil, stamps, ink: Pinkfresh Studio; Vellum, embossing powder: Hero Arts; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Die cutting machine, hot foiling machine, foil rolls: Spellbinders; Album: Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted Album; Twine: Doodlebug; Embroidery floss: DMC; Ribbon: Michaels; Cardstock: Hammermill
My first love has always been traveler’s notebooks, especially this ringed binder Life Crafted album from Citrus Twist Kits, which serves as my December journal for 2021. I love the size as it makes it easier and faster to document your memories in them.
Today, I am sharing the story on how my Boston Terrier baby enjoys Christmas just as much as we do. I started by creating the page bases from patterned paper and the packaging from the Pinkfresh Studio Happy Holidays collection. I love using vellum in my December albums as it adds a layer of softness to the pages.
I wanted to bring the shine and feel of Christmas to the page using hanging ornaments. For this, I used the Ornaments Hot Foil plate from Pinkfresh Studio and their premium inks to create all the embellishments.
A bit of hand stitching helped to give the ornaments the illusion of being hung from the tree. I added small bows to each of the ornaments. I simply added a puffy sticker and small snowflakes using the Snowflakes Background stamp and Snowflakes Background die from Pinkfresh Studio to complete the title page for the spread.
Because I had a series of photos, I thought that having a large pocket for all of them was a better way to include them without overwhelming the page. For this, I created a pocket using vellum, and encased each photo in a tag made from patterned paper. I added an extra tag for all my journaling here, too.
I love how this turned out, and how easy it was to create it with all the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio goodies. I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your December documenting, too! Before I go, I want to wish you all a blessed Christmas with your families and friends. May the love and happiness of the season continue into the New Year, too!

The very best homemade cookie is the sugar cookie recipe I have used for probably 40 years. The best part is when the kids frost them, and we have a contest for the best looking. My favorite homemade cookie – thats tough. OK, Molasses cookies – I
love them so.
Thanks for a chance to win such great prizes.
What a special little mini book. Love all the pockets for goodies.
my favorite baked cookie for the holidays is Russian Teacakes or Mexican wedding cakes (the little snowballs). They may not be a traditional Christmas cookie but they were in my house growing up and continue to be.
Happy holidays all!
My favourite homemade cookie is a soft & chewy ginger cookie!
Chocolate chip is always my favorite!
Every year since we got married 43 years ago, my father-in-law would make shortbread cookies. He’d carefully make the cookie dough, then put them in an electric cookie press with the flower tip & then cut up little bits of glace cherries to put on top before he baked them. That is the only thing I ever saw him bake. Now that he is no longer with us, I have continued the tradition. The one year I decided not to make them, both of my adult children were disappointed so shortbread is one of the first items on my baking list each year.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this great contest & Merry Christmas.
Decorated sugar cookies certainly spark Christmas happiness in our home and tummies.
GORGEOUS! I love all things Pinkfresh and foiling is new to me but so very cool! My favorite holiday cookie are the cut out cookies we make. We do a plain sugar cookie and a chocolate version. Both get sprinkles or frosting and are cut out with Christmas cookie cutters. It’s a fun tradition for us that makes the cookies taste even better.
Thank you for the great prizes! My favorite cookies hands down are Mexican Wedding Cakes
My favorite cookie is the molasses gingersnap cookie.
Thank you for the giveaways.
Cute project Nathalie! Thanks for sharing
Growing up there were always Russian Tea Cakes at Christmas. It was a recipe that I still love to make today, although I am coming around to my hubby’s family tradition of calling them “snowballs” which just seems a whole lot more fun!
It’s hard to choose a favourite when there’s so many good ones! I think I’d have to pick shortbread first, with gingerbread a close second, especially at this time of year.
Love these! My favorite homemade cookie is a recipe that has been passed down in our family for generations. They are iced cookies! So yummy!
Date pinwheels!!
