Hello, crafty friends and welcome! This is Mindy and I have an adorable treat box to share with you today!

Sometimes creating the packaging for a gift is just as important to me as the gift itself, especially if it’s something small like a necklace or ring. My daughter loves jewelry and crystals so I know this gift box will be perfect!

Supplies | Honey Bee Stamps: Jingle All The Stamp, Jingle All The Way Honeycut, Lovely Layers Pinecone, Bundled Sage Distress Spray Stain, Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stain, White Iridescent Shimmer Spray, Holiday Pearls, Intense Black Ink, Red Line Tape, Rock Candy Glitter, Distress Collage Medium; Lawn Fawn: Tote Bag Die, Paper Bag Cardstock, White Cardstock; Hero Arts: Cup O’ Joe Cardstock, Cranberry Cardstock

There are many packaging options on the market today but one of my favorites is the Lawn Fawn Tote Bag. It reminds me of a little shopping bag! 

I could decorate this in so many ways but keeping it simple is the best way to go if you don’t want the box to out-do your present. I decided to go with an actual paper bag look which I know doesn’t sound exciting at all but just hear me out. The tote bag is die cut from Paper Bag cardstock from Lawn Fawn, kind of perfect, right?

I knew I wanted to decorate the bag with die cuts, for kind of a woodsy look. I pulled out my Lovely Layers Pinecone die set. I added detail to the pinecone with ink blending, splatters of white paint and some rock candy glitter. 

For the foliage, also from the Lovely Layers Pinecone set, I started by die cutting them from white cardstock. Then spritzed with Bundled Sage Distress Spray Stain, Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stain, White Iridescent Shimmer Spray and flicks of white paint. I know that sounds like a lot but it went really quick! 

The final touch to this gift bag was a sentiment from the Jingle All The Way stamp and maybe a few extra pearl embellishments for good measure. 

This tote bag is simple yet so perfect for under the tree. I could put jewelry, crystals, gift cards, and maybe even some candy in these bags. I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and all the inspiration the SCT team has and will be sharing. Happy Holidays, friends!
