Let’s take a look, and don’t forget to follow the instructions to leave a comment on this blog post to enter to win today’s giveaways!
Hello, and welcome to the eleventh day of the 12 Days of Holiday Giving event! It’s Meghann Andrew here with you today to share a special ornament I created that would make a perfect gift for someone you love!
Supplies | Concord & 9th: Christmas Cloche bundle, cardstock (Sea Glass, Juniper, Nectar & Grapefruit); Spellbinders Paper Arts: Mirror Gold cardstock, Platinum 6 die cutting machine; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D foam adhesive strips; Scrapbook.com: Magic Mat, Mint Tape, reverse tweezers, permanent tape runner; Ranger Ink: Embossing Pen, Bridal Tinsel embossing powder; We R Memory Keepers: Mixed Media Glass Mat; Scrapbook & Cards Today: white cardstock; Buttons Galore & More: December Dream sequin mix; Gina K Designs: micro disco ball sequins, Amalgam ink – Obsidian, fine tip bottles; Crate Paper: woodgrain patterned paper; My Sweet Petunia: Misti stamping platform; Other: acetate, twine
The Christmas Cloche bundle from Concord & 9th creates a beautiful cloche that you can fill with the icons found in the bundle, like trees and forest animals. It creates a lovely focal point for a card front, but for today’s post, I wanted to show how you could use it in a different way—off of a card to create a beautiful ornament!
As is, this cloche would create a gorgeous ornament with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree inside. I decorated my tree simply with ornament and garland dies from the bundle, using a soft, vintage colour palette of Sea Glass, Juniper, Nectar, and Grapefruit before setting the tree atop a glittering white base of snow. To step it up, I decided to make the cloche a shaker as well by adding acetate to the gold foil outer frame and filling the center with sparkling sequins! Imagine opening an envelope to find this beautiful cloche, ready to hang on your tree! It would create a truly special gift.
For an added personal touch, I decided to adorn the back of the cloche with a family photo. Instead of making this side a shaker, I adhered just a few snowflake sequins to my family photo to add sparkle and shine.
You may have this bundle on hand already, or a shaped die that would be perfect for an ornament! I hope you’ll give this idea a try, and create a handmade ornament for someone special on your Christmas list. Happy holidays, all!

I love what Meghann did with the ornament. I tend to use non-traditional colors for my holiday cards and always get many compliments on them. Meghann, I think you knocked it out of the park. Absolutely beautiful. Happy Holidays to all!
I love to see the traditional mixed with a modern pop, so red, green and pink!
I love a traditional Christmas color combo of cranberry and forest green. I always throw in a little brown for a vintage feel.
Lately I’m loving black and gold; also deep green and gold.
I love red, gold, and green – totally classic colors.
Beautiful cloche and idea. I absolutely adore both traditional xmas colours and funky new twists.
My favourite colour scheme would be gold and dark green. Thanks so much for amazing giveaways!
We always end up choosing a non-traditional color scheme for our holiday photo cards.
Thank you for the generous giveaways!
I like a monochromatic scheme. I tend to lead more towards cooler colours and shades of blue.
Wow- that is simply gorgeous. I tend to be more traditional but when I see inspiration like this I want to try something new!! Thank you Concord & 9th and Picket Fence for sponsoring these prizes. Happy holidays!
I really love all holiday color schemes. Everything from red and green to pastels to rainbow colors. In our home it’s fairly traditional with red and green with some black and white thrown in. What’s not to love about holiday decor?!
I love blue, silver and white. Very pleasing to my eye.
I love the traditional reds and greens with a bit of pink as well
I always like the traditional reds and greens at Christmas. Love today’s project!! Can’t wait to try and make it! Thanks for the great idea and the amazing giveaway!!
Without a doubt I’m a traditionalist when it comes to decorating my home but when working with paper crafts I try to work outside of my comfort range – as long as I remember to buy materials outside of that comfort range as well! LOL
This year I’ve done both traditional and non traditional colors for Christmas. I do tend to gravitate more towards modern color scheme.
I love a traditional color palate of green white and red. However I have been mixing it up this year thanks to Meghan’s inspiration!!❤️
I often like to decorate with red and gold on a green tree.
My favourite holiday colour scheme is white and pink, such refreshing feel to the joyous mood.
Love this beautiful ornament made by Meghann. I do love her colour scheme. Merry Christmas to all at SCT and looking forward to 2024 and creating with your new classes! ????????????
Hi everyone.
I am definitely a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas decor colors!
Red, green, white, silver and gold…
I love your handmade Cloche it is a perfect gift to give someone. I love it. What a perfect gift to give and have held on to for many years to come and hand on the tree each year. Nice job. Wow a gift card from Concord & 9th, just when we would all just like to sit back, relax and choose a gift for our craft room. WOW then 5 products from Picket Fences, can it get any better. Christmas for us after we have made Christmas for everyone else. Thank you SCT to you and your generous sponsors.
Beautiful ornament!
I like traditional colors
of red, green and white.

Wow, gorgeous ornament and I love the picture on the back! Thank you to Concord and 9th and Picket Fence Studios for the amazing prizes today! I am definitely a fan of traditional colours on my Christmas cards! I tend to lean towards reds, greens, silver, gold, and blues.
Traditional for me. I love the combination of cardinal red, forest green & gold. I’ve tried going other, but can’t quite do it.
I’m a red and white girl… everything looks pepperminty ????
This is the second year we’ve done just red and white on our tree and I love it!
It depends on my mood. These days, though, I’m into new color schemes.
I am a traditionalist. Although I do like the new color scheme, red and green means Christmas to me
I love using softer colors of blues, greens, silver and adding touches of pink to my holiday items
I do like traditional with holiday plaids and red but I tend to always go, non-traditional with colors. This close and idea is so pretty with the colors and I always make ornaments with a pix in them so this is perfect idea.. (for next year)
I love traditional color schemes: bright red and greens as well as black, gold and silver.
I like metallics and shimmer – a metallic rose gold is gorgeous, paired with regular gold or green makes a nice contrast. I also like a metallic blue, paired with silver, which gives a nice wintry feel.
I’m eclectic so love both! So fun!! Thanks for yet another chance to win!
I’m totally a traditionalist! :)
I’m pretty open to most colour schemes. I love purple, teal and silver. I also love my Mom’s colours – blue, white and gold. The only place I don’t like a lot of colour is the tree lights – I don’t like multicoloured. They all need to be the same colour whether that be white or purple.
I love bright rainbow colours for the holidays! Not just red white red and green. Love some purples and blues thrown in too!
I use a lot of blue and silver, but also some more traditional red, green and gold. This year my cards included lots of pink and brown. So, I guess my style is mixed!
Finally and easy one! I have always loved navy blue and silver, it just looks so serene .
This is such a gorgeous ornament! I love that you made it a shaker, too :) This is a fun color scheme, and I also like aqua, silver and white together.
I love Meghann’s ornament. So pretty!! I like using non-traditional colors for my Christmas cards.
I love the look of teal blue with reds and white.
I am pretty traditional but slowly started to like the newer themes. Love your makes Meghan
Great idea! Thank you for sharing! The choice of colors scheme will depend to whom I want to give the project. I’m now working on a lavender, purple and yellow gold christmas folio for my bestie who prefers purple tones!
I like to switch it up and use various colors, teal, green, red etc
Meghann – You’ve created something lovely. I love how you put your family picture inside the cloche. My favorite holiday color palette is more muted. I like working with colors that are off shades of traditional colors (like those used by Meghann, the makers in Day 6 and Day 10).
Used to be all about traditional colors for Christmas but I am starting the non-transitional and loving it
Meghan this is such a precious keepsake ornament to be cherished for years to come!! Would love to use this set to make a Christmas layout with! LOVE Concord & 9th and Picket Fence and have so much of their fun festive products! As for color themes, I have eclectic and have been “collecting” over many years so all color schemes are represented! LOL! My newest double front door wreaths have German houses in blue teals and tomato reds with snow, (In Florida) and I love them! They even light up and I have them lit every night!!
Meghann’s ornament is lovely! Red, green and gold is my traditional favourite combination; pink, aqua and silver for non-traditional. I don’t shift too much from those two palettes. Thank you for a smile-making Day 11 set of gifts and inspiration.

I am a traditionalist thru and thru – give me red and green all season long!????
Thanks for the generous giveaways!
