Supplies | Cardstock: Bazzill Pink Cloud, Avalanche, Red; Patterned paper: American Crafts, Echo Park Paper; Alphabet stickers: American Crafts; Twine: Doodlebug Designs; Gems: Close to My Heart; Die-cutting machine: Silhouette Cameo; Font: Bohemian Typewriter

This month’s adorable cut file is ideal for any valentine-themed layout, and would be so cute to adorn a child’s valentine box or classroom cards! To begin my page, I glued four pieces of red baker’s twine to my cardstock to create nine squares. With two photos, a title and journaling taking up four of the squares, I filled the remaining five with die cuts from the cut file.

I chose to use the smaller envelope files to adorn various squares in my grid-based design. After cutting the shapes from white cardstock, I added patterned paper behind the frames to “color in” my shapes. Depending on what color and patterns of paper you choose, you can totally change the look of these cute shapes!

I centered the page title in the middle of my grid and used a combo of cardstock letters and a die-cut word to spell it out. Don’t be afraid to let some of the elements spill into other squares—it helps to connect them all visually!

The triple heart cluster featured in two of the squares was originally attached to the mailbox, but I just snipped them apart with scissors and used the open hearts. When adhered with foam adhesive, they pop off the page and add a textural element.
