Hey, crafty friends! It is Nathalie here with you today with a new project that is inspired by you! I always love to look carefully at all the projects and ideas in each magazine issue. Usually, I like to add little flags to the pages, so I can easily refer back to the projects. Today I am going to show you how the beautiful layout found on page 68 of the Inspiration Gallery in the Winter 2022 issue by Gloria Parra inspired today’s layout, plus, I’m sharing a brand-new, must-have product with you!

Here is what I created featuring the new We R Makers Sticky Folio and Vicki Boutin’s Print Shop collection:

Supplies | Patterned paper, die cuts, cardstock stickers, embellishment clips, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers: Vicki Boutin for American Crafts; Alpha stickers: American Crafts; Adhesive: American Crafts; Sticky Folio: WeR Makers

I love all the layers and the sprinkle of die cuts that Gloria has added to her page.  I chose to modify a bit of her page to document a few pictures of my daughter’s journey to learning how to play piano.

My choice was to flip the design of the original page 90 degrees clockwise. This provided a better background and setup for my pictures. I am using a selection of patterned papers from Vicki Boutin’s Print Shop collection to create the layout base.

I am using two pictures for my layout; these are set side by side on the center of the paper strips and framed by floral die cuts. Here is where the new Sticky Folio from We R Makers came in super handy. This new product transforms your die cuts into stickers in seconds!

Simply snap the adhesive sheet and cover in place inside the folio; open the cover sheet and place the die-cut or fussy-cut pieces (design side up) on the adhesive sheet. Use the cover sheet to close the adhesive page and protect your die cut while you rub it with the pressure tool. Open the cover sheet and remove the “sticker” with tweezers; all that is left to do is place it on your page. No mess, no fuss, and oh so easy to use!

I followed the design in the original layout to add all my florals, embellishments, and title. I opted to move my lines of journaling to just under the title (those I am leaving for my daughter to write as I want her to document her journey!)

I love how this page turned out! Gloria’s original page was a perfect starting point for mine. In addition, now I am just so excited about the new We R Makers Sticky Folio, and thinking about all its possibilities!

Remember to share with us what you create from inspiration found in the issue. We would love to be inspired by you!
