Hello Scrapbook & Cards Today friends, it’s Becki here to share a scrapbook page with you that I created using the Boho Christmas collection from our friends at Simple Stories. This collection is full of whimsical elements and a traditional color palette with a pop of pink! You’ll also find a rainbow or two!

Sometimes I want to sit down and create a layout quickly. Other times, I want to take my time and enjoy the creative process. On this layout, I wanted to enjoy the process and scrapbook a family selfie that I took in front of the tree in 2022. When I want to slow down and enjoy the process, I often use my favorite techniques on the layout. On this layout, I specifically focused on hand stitching and fussy cutting
I chose a traditional red and green background for this layout. Isn’t that green plaid paper gorgeous? I love the tone-on-tone colors! Around the perimeter of the layout, I hand-stitched a border using the chain link stitch and coordinating thread. I used the chain link stitch around the edge of the pink patterned paper as well. I love the fun chunky look of the chain link stitch!
The other technique that I love is fussy cutting. I know fussy cutting isn’t for everyone but I love it! I enjoy sitting down on the couch next to my husband and watching TV while fussy cutting patterned paper. On this layout, I fussy cut all of the flowers and greenery at the bottom of the pink patterned paper. The poinsettias were so fun and easy to cut out! All you need is a sharp pair of scissors!
After taking my time to fussy cut and hand stitch on this layout, it was time to pull everything together with a few embellishments and a foam sticker title! I love how this layout came together!
