Welcome back to We Love Spring Week here on the SCT blog! Spring flowers are one of the best parts of this season, and today creative team member Tina Smith is showing how she added them to her card in multiple ways! We think you’ll love the ideas she shares below. Enjoy!

Goodbye, winter! Hello, spring and sunshiny afternoons in the craftroom! It’s Tina Smith here from Cards & Coffee Time. Oh, how I love spring and all the fresh vibrant new blooms it brings—it’s my most favorite of the four seasons. I have a pretty floral card project to share with you that shouts spring with colorful flowers filled throughout.

Supplies | Stamps of Life: Abstract Floral Background Die, Flower Wreath Clear Stamp, Flower Wreath Solids Clear Stamp, Flower Wreath Dies, Bows and Leaves Dies, Cardstock (I used Powdered Sugar), Patterned Paper (I used the Greetings Friend Paper Pad), Scrapbook Adhesives: EZ Runner Grand3D Foam Circles White Mix, Crafty Foam TapePinkfresh Studio Full Size Ink Pads (Detail Black, Mimosa, Sky Blue & Sunshine), Spellbinders: Spectrum AB Color Essential Gems

The Stamps of Life Abstract Floral Background filled my A2 card base with floral texture along with a few patterned papers from the Stamps of Life Greetings Friend Collection. There are so many pretty patterns it was hard to choose. The Stamps of Life Flower Wreath is a beautiful wreath and I love that there are single flower images that look great layered on it, or on their own. I am using both in my project.

My wreath is a mix and match of coordinating mediums that create depth and texture, two things I like to add to my card projects. I started by inking and stamping the flowers, then die cutting a few flowers and leaves from the patterned paper, and finally heat embossing the flowers onto vellum.  I love the softness it brings to the wreath. I guess you could say I created a smorgasbord of spring flowers!

Did you know? The Stamps of Life Greetings Friend Paper Pad has the same images as the stamp set on a few of the 6×6 sheets, printed and colored in. If you are not into stamping or coloring, this patterned paper has you covered! Just line up the coordinating die set to the images and your wreath and flowers are done, which is a nice feature for all crafters!

I hope you get a chance to check out the Stamps of Life shop and all the crafty goodness they have there. Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely day!
