Can you believe we’re already at day ten of our 12 Days of Holiday Giving Event? We’ve already seen so many amazing projects and found wonderful giveaways up for grabs, and today we’re continuing with design team member Nathalie DeSousa. Nathalie is sharing how she is documenting her December memories in a notebook using one of our favourite holiday collections, which you can win at the end of this post! Let’s take a look!

Hello, crafty friends! It’s Nathalie with you today to continue the 12 Days of Giving celebration from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine! I am so excited to share with you all something that is very dear to my heart, my December traveler’s notebook. I love this format! It has been my daily documentation format for the past 10 years; the small and simple size is perfect for the jolly, but busy December days.

Supplies: Patterned paper, die cuts, stamp, puffy stickers, washi tape, gold glaze: Warm Wishes collection from Vicki Boutin and American Crafts; Printable ephemera: Vicki Boutin; Ink, embossing powder: Altenew; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Pen: Muji: Font: Remington Noiseless; Traveler’s notebook, page protector: Citrus Twist Kits

I am loving Vicki Boutin’s Warm Wishes collection. It is colorful, versatile, and oh so perfect for the season!

For my first spread, I decided to enlarge the photo of my little cousins to fit the entire page of the traveler’s notebook. There is so much detail in the photo, so I paired it with a simple journal spot.

I love all the details in the packaging of the collection and decided to add it as a layer behind the journal. A few embellishments complete the spread.

For my next spread, I am using an Instax-sized photo page protector as a means to add multiple pictures in one spread.

I printed my photos to fit inside the pockets and added the small, exclusive number ephemera from Vicki Boutin to each of the photos. I trimmed a piece of the patterned paper to create a tag to fit in the pocket and added a small ephemera piece that serves as a sentiment and for the spread.

For my journal page, I used ledger paper and added washi tape to the right of the page. Then, using the stamp set, I added a few details to the top of the page. I wanted the title to pop from the page, so I heat embossed the “joy” word outline. A bit of diluted glaze helped to add shine to the word. I simply fussy cut the word and built a title cluster along with ephemera pieces at the bottom of the journal page.

I love how easy these pages came together, and Vicki’s newest Warm Wishes collection just added that extra detail to the finished spreads. I cannot wait to see how you document your holiday season!

And an extra little surprise today…

I am sure you will all love today’s giveaway, but I also wanted to join in on the celebration and create a little something for a lucky follower. This little album contains a few of my favorite things, including some vintage Vicki Boutin collection pieces in the mix. Think of it as a curated collection of my crafty adventures!

Before I leave you, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and merry Christmas season. May love, peace, and happiness fill your homes all through the holidays and the upcoming year!
