Hello everyone! It’s Lisa Dickinson here today and I’m reveling in the fact that it’s finally fall! Not only does that mean cooler temperatures and beautiful scenery in the Colorado mountains, but it also means I have the autumn issue of SCT in my hands and it’s inspiring me to create!

Today I’m excited to share a fall-infused layout using some of the newest bonus files available with the Fall 2020 issue. I’ve incorporated both the beautiful Fall Leaves Cut File set by Nathalie Desousa and the fun Before We Go Cut Files on this page celebrating my favorite season.

Supplies | Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned paper, stickers: Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper; Alphabet:  American Crafts; Gems: Doodlebug Design; Cut file: SCT Bonus Files Fall 2020; Electronic die cutting machine: Silhouette Cameo; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

To showcase a few of my favorite seasonal photos, I wanted to reinforce the autumnal theme with my choice of scrapbook supplies. The bonus cut files were perfect for this and I used several of them to create a layered leaf border on the left edge of the page.

I first cut several of the leaves from kraft cardstock to provide a neutral frame. Then, I filled each leaf with a festive patterned paper from the new Marigold collection by Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper. This versatile collection is perfect for fall, with so many rich colors and gorgeous patterns!

To add additional contrast and texture to my leaf border, I cut the smaller vines from dark brown cardstock and tucked them into the border design.

For the title, I also used a frame of dark brown cardstock, filling each letter of the title with patterned paper. Metallic gold letters complete the title and a few rhinestones sprinkled within the border add a bit of sparkle to the page!
