Hello SCT friends! Its Jess Forster here, and I am excited to share a new project inspired by the fun layout by Victoria Calvin on page 22 of the Scrapbook & Cards Today Summer Issue. For my layout, I used the super cute My Happy Place collection from Doodlebug Design!

I am always inspired by each issue of this beautiful magazine. What caught my eye in the 3T’s column, was Victoria’s use of grids, and multiple photos as well as her cluster of embellishments at the top of the page. Here is a look at Victoria’s 12 x 12-inch traditional page:

For my layout, I decided to use the vibrant rainbow colours from the My Happy Place collection kit and paired them with six vertical photos from one of my family’s favourite beaches. The pink and yellow layers remind me of summertime! I used the Project Life App to create the grid and added a text box in Photoshop Elements at the bottom of my page to record my journaling.

I used the “My Happy Place” cardstock sticker and foam dots to add a title with dimension to the page, then I clustered the cute flowers, hearts, and pop dots in a visual triangle. I love the simplicity and colours of this layout, all inspired by Victoria Calvin and the Summer Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today.
