Hello, and Happy Holidays, SCT friends! It’s Dilay Nacar here for the final day of our 12 Days of Holiday Giving event! For today’s card, I selected a few gorgeous products from our friends at Spellbinders to create this elegant holiday card, and I’m excited to share all the details with you! It’s no surprise that I love to die cut. The holidays are the perfect time to create extra-special cards with lots of layers and interest!
Supplies | Spellbinders: Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, Winter Borders Dies, Christmas Blooms Dies, Mix & Match Holiday Greetings Dies, Mirror Gold Cardstock, Phone Booth Cardstock, Poppy Field Cardstock, Cosmic Sky Cardstock, Partly Cloudy Cardstock Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam: 3D Foam Squares, E-Z Runner Grand Adhesive Runner
I began by creating the background, embossing 3/4 of an A2-sized card base with the Spellbinders Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder (an absolute favorite of mine!) To add sparkle to the transition, I die-cut two of the Winter Borders using glitter cardstock and adhered them in between the smooth and embossed portion of the card.
Next, I die-cut and assembled the poinsettias and foliage from the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms set using a few of my favorite shades of red, blue, and metallic cardstock. I adhered the poinsettias to the background, then tucked in the leaves, securing them using foam adhesive. To finish, I chose a sentiment from the Mix & Match Holiday Greetings set and die-cut it once in silver glitter and once in mirror gold, adhered them together (slightly offset) then onto the card.

Peaceful family Christmas
My Christmas wish would be for health for my family and friends. Wishing my youngest son would find a job, he likes! He has been struggling finding a job. I pray for peace and happiness to the sct team!
My wish is the same but for my oldest. He too is stuck in a job he dislikes and that really isn’t good for him mentally, but he hasn’t been able to find another. It is SOOO hard to watch a child struggle! Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way!

For the first time in 44 years I will be away from my children and grandchildren for Christmas. I recently retired and moved part-time to Florida. It’s not all bad, because my 2 siblings also winter inf Florida and it will be the first time in over 40 years that I will be able to spend Christmas with them. I have an unusual Christmas Wish. Because of schedules and extended family, I have never been able to have a Christmas with just my husband and our girls (now we are adding in a boyfriend) I want to have a nice relaxing Christmas day (or any day around Christmas) for just the 4/5 of us to celebrate and enjoy being with each other. A nice meal, play a game or two, and maybe a movie.
